Coach Cabrera is beginning her first year at Boyd. She began playing softball at the age of 9. During
her 8th grade year she decided she wanted to become a pitcher. She
lettered all four years at Wichita
Falls High School. Cabrera was the starting third baseman and backup pitcher. During those
four years,
she received Most Improved, Honorable Mention, 2nd Team All-District (2yrs), and Academic All-District (3 yrs).
She was then offered a softball scholarship to Midwestern State, but due to a shoulder injury from the
combination of pitching and volleyball,
